There were more boats out racing at Hollingworth Lake on Sunday (15 March) in good conditions, with 4 Solos out enjoying close racing all afternoon.
Nick Hornsby had led the way in the first race with Nick Brook and Martin Brennan finishing behind within 30 seconds.
After the first race, it was the dynamic duo of Steve Crook and Sally Townend in a Merlin Rocket that led the results with two wins. However, they were closely chased by Chris Massey and Tom Daniel in a Scorpion, who had consistent second place results all afternoon. They both felt that they had great speed upwind in the gusts though even their spinnakers did not propel them downwind as fast as they expected.
In the current virus situation, further sailing activity will be curtailed for the time being.
