Forward Jake Beesley has joined Dale for an undisclosed fee from Solihull Moors, signing a three-year deal.
The 23-year-old started his career at Chesterfield after coming through the youth ranks there, before joining Salford City in 2017. He spent three years at The Ammies, enjoying loan spells at Boston United, Bradford Park Avenue and The Moors during his time at the club.
After impressing at Solihull Moors, the National League side signed him on a permanent basis for a fee in January of this year.
Upon signing for Dale, Beesley said: “I’m delighted to be here. The move first came about a few weeks ago and since I first heard about it, I really wanted to come here and try to better myself in League One.
“We briefly spoke [with Brian Barry-Murphy]. I’ve heard good things about him. We’ve got a young squad and he puts belief in young players which is a positive I see in him. Hopefully I can improve working under him.
“I’m buzzing to meet the lads to get forming relationships and partnerships as quickly as possible.”
