The club was presented with a splendid crystal trophy in recognition of this remarkable milestone
Wardleworth Football Club was celebrated by the Rochdale and Bury Sunday League committee as the oldest-serving team in the league's history. Marking an impressive 30 years of dedication and service, the club was presented with a splendid crystal trophy in recognition of this remarkable milestone.
The award represents a significant achievement for Wardleworth FC, a club that has served its community for three decades and remains stronger than ever. The accolade is not only a testament to the club’s longevity but also to the unwavering support from players, both past and present.
"None of this would have been possible without the love and support from all those footballers, young and old, who have adorned the respect of wearing the Wardleworth shirt with such pride," said a spokesperson for the club.
"We have had hundreds of players throughout our 30 years, some are sadly no longer with us, but this recognition is for all of you.
"Whether you've been a kid getting coached, a Sunday league player, a committee member, manager or fan, this is for all and especially our community."
