New contract for Hill with Rochdale

Date published: 18 April 2013

Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce that Manager Keith Hill has agreed a new three year deal today (Thursday 18 April).

Hill put pen to paper on a contract extending his stay at the club until 2016.

The 43-year-old, who is the most successful manager in the club’s history, returned to Spotland in January and has already stamped his mark both on and off the pitch as he re-captures the ‘Team Rochdale’ identity with entertaining football and an appetite for success.

Preparations for next season are well underway, with an emphasis on re-building ‘Team Rochdale’, and Chairman Chris Dunphy is delighted to have secured Hill’s services.

Mr Dunphy said: “It is fair to say that you don’t realise what you’ve got until it is gone and that is certainly the case with Keith," said Mr Dunphy. "In the period of time that he has been back at the club we have all seen a change in the way that the team plays football and Keith's hard work and commitment is now bearing fruit with positive results on the pitch. We’re all starting to watch Rochdale with a smile on our faces.”
