Knowldale Car Club travel for Jim Clark Rally
Date published: 28 May 2013
This weekend sees members of Knowldale Car Club travel up to the Scottish Borders to partake in one format or another in the famous Jim Clark Rally.
The rally is the second round of the British Rally Championship, which over three competitive days of rallying sees both international and national rally crews competing on the only closed road rally held on the UK mainland.
Rochdale’s, Joe Cruttenden and Paul Stringer, both top British co-drivers, will be representing Knowldale Car Club on the rally. Joe will be co-driving for BRC Challenge driver Matthew Jackson, from Warwickshire, in a Super 1000 Micra and Paul will be co-driving for local driver, Steve Brown in the Questmead Micra, in the national event.
Whilst Joe and Paul compete, other members of the Knowldale Car Club members will be traveling up to the town of Duns to marshal and provide safety radio and competitor liaison support.
Later in June, Knowldale Car Club members are travelling over to Flanders, Belgium to marshal on the famous Ypres Rally.
