Dear fellow resident of Kingsway Ward,
I hope you are enjoying the good weather and the gradual release from lockdown. However, please remember that Covid has not gone away so stay safe, keep to the guidelines, and make sure you get your vaccination as soon as you are invited.
I am enormously proud to have been one of your Kingsway councillors for the past nine years and I am hoping you will support me again so I can continue my work for our local community.
I live here in Kingsway Ward with my wife, and my children both attended local schools, so what happens locally is just as important to me as it is to you.
During the Covid crisis my “day” job has seen me as a front-line worker, driving to keep your supermarkets stocked up with food. But my council work is the most important to me and over the past nine years I have spoken to and helped hundreds of Kingsway residents.
I walk round areas of Kingsway every day and I am always available by phone or email. I fight extremely hard for our area and have been successful in getting funding for many local improvements. I hope you will have seen some of these from my regular newsletters, but they include:
The council is now starting to deploy CCTV cameras in fly tipping black spots and looking to provide free skips. We have also reduced the price for collection of bulky waste items, and you can get three items collected for £11.
One of my main passions is in improving the appearance of Kingsway which is blighted by fly-tipping and littering. The councils clean and green team do a great job but much more needs to be done. One great idea from a Kingsway resident is to include education on the environment in school curriculums.
I am always available by telephone (07812 238 315) or email (email@example.com) and I very much look forward to hearing from you with suggestions for how we can further improve our area.
Please do me the honour of using your vote to support me to continue to work for Kingsway.
Sincerely and with thanks
