In the forthcoming local elections, you can choose to elect the one candidate who already has a strong record of delivering for our community. Since being selected as the candidate for our area, I have worked hard on local issues and to keep residents informed of progress.
I want action on the things that matter to you. Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, ensuring our roads receive their fair share of funding, tougher action on fly tipping and a different approach to Council Tax, which just seems to be going up year after year.
I want business to be able to re-open safely and to flourish as we come out of lockdown, once and for all. The last 12 months have been difficult and with the roadmap and vaccination programme progressing, the signs are positive that we are ready to meet again. Despite the difficulties faced, we have seen the best in people; community groups working to support each other and of course all of our frontline workers who continued to work throughout the ever-changing landscape.
We have seen how important our Greenbelt land is to local people and it’s crucial that Bamford Ward has strong Conservative opposition to the ‘plan of nine’, which in its current form will still see a significant amount of Greenbelt land lost to housing development, right in the heart of our community.
That’s why your vote in the local council elections on 6th May 2021 really can make a difference. If you elect me, I can continue to work for our community. I believe a good Councillor can make a difference and I’d be delighted to join your hardworking Conservative Team in Bamford Ward.
I am asking you to continue putting your trust in us on Thursday 6th May, to allow us to continue to work hard on your behalf and help steer our community through to a brighter and more prosperous future.
