About Steve: I am pleased to stand in East Middleton for the Conservatives as the local election candidate for East Middleton. My working life has been spent in Engineering within the Defence Sector started as apprentice in 1975 at Hawkers Siddeley on Greengate.
I am standing for election to represent the community and if elected I promise to do my very best for everyone in East Middleton ward.
My priorities are all about local people.
- Care for the elderly - How well we treat and look after older people is a measure of a civilised society.
- Young people –far too many are still out of work – through careers advice and access to relevant education and apprenticeship schemes we can ensure training for Business and Jobs.
- Local business and shops - deserve support to help regenerate the area we have had industry leave with British Vita.
We need an integrated plan for East Middleton that includes all the existing industrial & retail facilities. I am seeking your support so we can effectively tackle important local concerns lack of local amenities and regenerate East Middleton to enhance our community.
I will not support any developments which harm our local interests, such as building on greenbelt / green-field sites.
I am standing for election because I have the time, commitment and energy to represent the interests of our community. If elected I promise to do my very best for everyone in East Middleton, believe in personal freedom and genuine democracy that gives local people a real voice in local matters that concern them.
Now is the time is right for people in East Middleton to vote for real change to the area to address the concerns of local people such as Policing, fly tipping, litter, public transport and protection of our greenbelt. Vote for me on Thursday 6th May and let's do things better in East Middleton.
