Dear reader,
We have submitted our Rochdale Online submission to you together because it is our team that we are asking you to re-elect this year. We love working together on behalf of our residents and are proud to represent you at the town hall. We very much hope to be able to continue doing so after the May elections.
As we all know, the upcoming Local Elections at Rochdale Council really matter this year. Plans to bulldoze the Greenbelt, increase Council Tax, and opt into a Clean Air Charging Zone scheme to drive on our roads, when the air is clean, are just some examples of the poor local decisions being made at our Labour led Council.
When you vote this year, you will do so three times and so please use all your votes to re-elect your hardworking and dedicated local councillors.
We’ve knocked on thousands of doors and use our year-round leaflets and social media page on Facebook to keep residents updated on our work. We are also active members of the many community groups throughout the ward.

Steve said, ‘I absolutely love representing people at the town hall and in the community. Bamford Ward is blessed with an amazing community and getting stuck in is the best bit of being a councillor! I’d be honoured to be able to continue working together with everybody after the elections.’
Angela said, ‘I have lived in Bamford for over 40 years and have been an active member of the community here. I became chair of the Bamford Green Belt Action Group when the plans to build on our Green Belt land were first released and I have continued to support the group in their fight to protect our beautiful countryside. I enjoy serving the people of Bamford, and as a resident myself, your problems are often mine too. If you are kind enough to re-elect me in May, I will continue to work hard for you. I am often to be found walking around our lovely area, so if you see me do stop for a chat.’
Pat said, ‘I’ve represented Bamford Ward and its community for over ten years and during that time I have made great friends and supported hundreds of residents. I always respond to casework quickly and would be delighted if you place your faith in me again. It would be an honour to be returned once more.’
