Since moving to Heywood to look after my mum, I’ve found the people warm and welcoming, and the area has a lot to offer. What is lacking is councillors fighting to ensure we get a fair deal from the Council.
We are being promised trams tomorrow whilst they fail to provide buses today. We need a direct bus from Heywood to Manchester, cutting out Langley and Middleton and running straight down Manchester Road.
Labour is more interested in their petty internal squabbles than in getting the new police station functioning to get the police out into our community. The Labour council are failing young people in our area, they are betraying a generation of young people and taking votes for granted.
More councillors who represent the Labour Party in our community will change nothing, we need councillors who represent Heywood in the Town Hall. Throughout England that is what Liberal Democrats do.
I am asking people to use their three votes in North Heywood to vote for our three Liberal Democrat candidates and send a strong voice for Heywood to the Town Hall.
