My name is George Kinder and I would like to represent you as your Lib Dem candidate for the West Ward of Heywood. Alongside the other Lib Dem councillors serving in the Heywood, Rochdale, and Middleton Borough, I will try my best to make life better for the residents living in the West Ward of Heywood.
There are already big changes in the pipeline for projects such as schools, roads and housing. But there are many more things that affect individuals that I think I can help with.
Who is George Kinder?
Married with two grown up children, five grandchilren and one great grandchild. I was born and brought up in Manchester but I have lived in the Heywood and Rochdale Borough for more than 30 years. My working career started as an apprentice asphalter and I worked on the Darnhill multi-story flats in the early sixties.
I started and operated two companies in Heywood, I originally started the companies working from my dining room table when I lived in Hopwood, during the seventies.
I took early retirement, but I am proud that these companies have provided employment for a considerable number of people in Heywood. Indeed, some of my ex-collegues have started up their own busnesses, and they are providing employment for Heywood residents.
I am not a miracle worker but I will try my best for the people of the West Ward of Heywood.
