Respect - The Unity Coalition
Milnrow & Newhey Ward

Firstly, I would like to thank the Respect Party for selecting me as their representative for the Milnrow and Newhey Ward in the forthcoming local elections.

I was born and brought up in Radcliffe nearly sixty years ago and have three grown up children and three grandchildren. Having worked for Bury council for over twenty six years, fourteen years ago, I moved to nearby Shaw and after taking early retirement from Bury council, I now work for the new Asda store in Shaw.

Three years ago, I moved to Milnrow with my husband and have been able to witness and experience first hand, many of the problems that the local people are subject to i.e. huge potholes in roads and pavements; accumulation of rubbish; lack of amenities for our local youths; vandalism; robberies and lack of police presence.

The Respect party is a relatively new party but I firmly believe that with all of my experiences working in a council environment for many years and witnessing all the local problems that I can hopefully get things improved for everyone, with the help of the Respect party and its’ policies.

I will be out and about during the next few weeks distributing leaflets and hoping to meet as many people as possible to show my commitment and determination to once and for all make Milnrow and Newhey a safer and more enjoyable place to live.
