It’s an absolute privileged and honour to be standing at this May’s local elections. I have lived in Heywood all my life and I was in fact born in the Hopwood area. I’m a family man with 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
I’m currently the treasurer of Heywood District Angling Society – a charity which takes disadvantaged children and teaches them a new hobby. I’m proud of my work with this charity and I was delighted when we managed to base the charity at Mutual Mill Lodge, transforming it into the jewel of the crown of the surrounding empire.
When I speak to local people across our area they tell me they feel let down by their current Labour Councillors. They are sick of years of failure and inaction. Hopwood deserves better and if elected I promise to work hard for all members of our community. Residents can count on me to follow through on my promises.
