Celebrating our 60th Birthday
This year, 32nd Rochdale Guides celebrated their 60th Birthday... from September 2016 until the summer break in July, each week was based on the First Class, Second Class and Tenderfoot awards that Guides would have completed in 1957. We have had a great time learning new skills such as sewing, cleaning, washing clothes; and trying traditional skills such as using maps, compasses, reading timetables - which will all help us as we grow up! We've done some really exciting stuff too - including planning a Hike, and a trip into Manchester to try Japanese food (and go shopping of course!), and we had a go at rafted canoeing and raft building at Hollingworth Lake. We're so active at our group - it's fabulous! If you're interested in joining, please get in touch.

I'm a Girl Guide - Get Me Out of Here!
The resource is still available for free by emailing guides32ndrochdale@hotmail.co.uk. Badges are still available - we currently have about 1,000 in stock. Please order sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. Badges are £1 each (postage and packaging is additional).

We would like to thank everyone who has purchased badges and supported our fundraising. Unfortunately the International Camp in Scotland trip did not take off, instead we took a group of Guides to London over the Diamond Jubilee weekend in June. We had a great time, staying at Girlguiding Headquarters, going to the Girlguiding Centenary Maze at Crystal Palace, flying the London Eye, sightseeing, and also watching Wicked at the theatre! Thanks again for supporting us and giving girls the opportunity to experience this!

Guides achieved their I'm a Girl Guide - Get Me Out of Here badge, Survival Badge, Nights Away Badges and the I Will Survive Go For It. Well done Guides!
