Comple@t (Middleton and Rochdale)

Introduction

One in four people will experience mental health issues at some point in their lives. Comple@t Rochdale and Middleton provides support and training, and decreases social isolation.  Everybody who joins the project will be given training in areas such as customer service and food hygiene.

The Comple@t Cafes aims and objectives are to

* Create viable, alternative work experience and training options which reflect the needs of people with mental health problems.

* To ensure the cafe projects are in a safe and supportive environment for those who attend, and their views are listened to and respected.

* To promote a positive image of mental health by keeping high standards and offering a good quality service.

* To work in partnership with other agencies.

* To help people overcome social isolation, increase their confidence and increase transferable life skills.

The projects offer a wide range of fresh food and drinks, all cooked on site from fresh.  To volunteer at the project, please see our website www.rochdalemind.org.uk to download a volunteer form, or pop into any of the cafes and see our friendly team.
