Friends of Denehurst Park

The Friends of Denehurst Park

Established in 2014 the Friends of Denehurst Park is a group dedicated in making the park a place for everyone. Our aim is to restore the original features of the park and develop the park as a community resource for all; to engage with the community, making it safer and making it more enjoyable, now and in the future. The group is run by an elected committee of Volunteers and is open to anyone who wants to help the park.

We will fulfil our aims by

- Working in partnership with Rochdale Borough Council, Schools, local organisation and agencies

- Fostering a sense of ownership, pride and responsibility in the park

- Consult with users group and local organisation, ensuring Denehurst Park is a park for everyone

- Promote healthy living, encouraging the use of the path network and encouraging the use of the community fruit orchards

- Help to create a more welcoming and safer park

- Promote the park by publicising the features, facilities and events. Creating a community resource for people far and wide
