Hamer Amateur Boxing Club and Community Fitness Centre

Our Missions and Aims

Boxing is without doubt the most rewarding and challenging sport available to youth today. The combination of athleticism, physical and mental conditioning, sportsmanship and self worth that you will develop from boxing are unequalled in any other sport.

Our mission at Hamer ABC is to promote boxing, health and the wellbeing to the people living in the most deprived and disadvantaged communities within Rochdale, without distinction of race, gender, political or religious belief. Our purpose is to make a significant impact on the local communities' lifestyle and to provide outlets for young people to develop and participate in the local community.

Our aims are to promote fitness, discipline, friendship and respect to the community of Rochdale, particularly to young people.

We are here to enable young people to develop and participate in the local community and to improve the self-confidence.

We are here to increase quality of life by providing a constructive alternative to anti social behaviour such as drugs and alcohol abuse, knife crime and to provide positive role models and social inclusion from interaction with our coaching staff and other young people.

We are here to bring everyone  from all different walks of life together to create an environment they are proud to be apart of.
