Minutes of 84th meeting on Tuesday 20 September 2011.
Present: Cllr Peter Evans (Chairman), Brian Holden, Barry Horner, John F Kay, Ken Rosbotham, Cllr Ann Stott, Roger Davis.
Apologies: Cynthia Davis, Iain Gerrard, Keith Hallam, Barbara Weatherley, Bon Weatherley, Barbara Tunstall.
I. Minutes of previous meetings.
Minutes of meeting 82 accepted.
Minutes of Akzo development meeting on 11 August was not numbered. Decided it should be
number 83. As this meeting was open to the public it was not circulated but is published on our
web site, www.lcdg4you.co.uk alternatively www.lcdg4you.com .
2. Matters arising from meeting 82 that are not on the agenda.
2.1 Canal Street car park. Details due to be published shortly.
2.2 Mechplant barrier still in position on Schofield Street.
3 Tow Path Improvement.
Members when on the tow path to continue looking at possible wear and tear, the weeds and usage by cyclists.
4 Durn Marina.
4.1 JFK to request BW for a further extension to our expression of interest.
4.2 The potential developer, Brierstone, are waiting to finalise a land purchase prior to submitting a planning application which would include a marina.
4.3 It was noted an application for development at Castleton included a 20 berth marina.
5. Any Other Business.
5.1 Photographs of a visit by Nicholas Hammond and his wife were shown and a report of this visit is on our web site.
5.2 Consideration to be given of membership to Inland Waterways Association.
6. Next meetings: Tuesday 18 October, Tuesday 15 November, Tuesday 17 January 2012.
