Minutes of the 89th meeting on 20 March 2012.
Present: Cllr Peter Evans (Chairman), Cynthia Davis, Iain Gerrard, Keith Hallam, Brian Holden, Barry Horner, John F Kay, John Kershaw, Ken Rosbotham, Cllr Ann Stott, Barbara Weatherley, Bob Weatherley, Roger Davis.
Apologies: Barbara Tunstall.
1. Minutes of last meeting (no.88) approved.
2. Matters arising from meeting no. 88 that are not on the agenda.
2.1 Mechplant obstruction of Schofield Street. JFK to investigate and seek local comments.
3. Durn Marina.
3.1 No further news to the post meeting note on last month’s minutes.
3.2 No response to our request regarding the council yard.
4. Akzo Nobel site.
4.1 A preliminary meeting is scheduled on 26/3. Mr Cropper will advise the attendees of the site conditions. Attendees are scheduled to be RMBC planning officers and Littleborough Lakeside councillors.
4.2 A public meeting is to be held at a date to be arranged.
5. Littleborough Volunteer Lengthsman Scheme.
5.1Jon Stopp, BW’s Adoption Co-ordinator for the scheme and Kate Statham, volunteer explained the scheme and answered questions. The information supplied was as the attached literature with minutes of meeting 88.
5.2 The meeting expressed its interest and JFK is to organise information details which will be available in Littleborough.
6. Any Other Business.
6.1 A meeting is scheduled for 28/3 at 19.00h in Room 5 of the Community School by Pennines Business & Tourism Trust.
7. Next meetings. Tuesdays 17 April, 15 May and 19 June. All at 19.30h in United Reform Church, Victoria Street, Littleborough.
