Minutes of the 95th meeting on 18 September 2012.
Present: Peter Evans (Chairman), Brian Holden, Barry Horner, John F Kay, John Kershaw, Cllr Anne Stott, Roger Davis.
The Chair proposed attendees stood for a minutes silence in memory of the two police officers killed today.
Apologises for absence: Cynthia Davis, Helen Evans, Keith Hallam, Barbara Tunstall.
1. Minutes of last meeting (no. 94) approved.
2. Durn Marina.
2.1 No news regarding the purchase of the council site.
2.2 No progress on Schofield obstruction.
3. Littleborough Volunteer Lengthsman Scheme.
3.1 JFK will contact Jon Stopp of BW requesting information for potential candidates.
4 Akzo Nobel Site.
4.1 Cllr AS requested PE to check coming up from a corner of the site. He will do so and take a photograph.
4.2 RD advised the minutes of the Pennines Township Planning Sub –Committee meeting on 1/8 were incorrect in several aspects and Barry Cropper and he had raise this at the Township meeting on 11/9. The chair at the Township meeting had tried to get these minutes passed and this had been objected to. The result was the 1/8 minutes be deferred to a future meeting of the Township committee. No mention was made in the 11/9 minutes it had been pointed out a decision should not be made until the Borough Solicitor had made known her opinion on the complaints several people had made relating to the handling of the application.
It should be noted the minutes of the 11/9 meeting are also incorrect.
5. Railway Arches.
5.1 Planning application is moving forward.
6. Next meetings: Tuesdays 16 October, 20 November and 15 January 2013. All at 19.30h in the United Reform Church, Victoria Street, Littleborough.
