Memory Wellbeing Cafes - Alzheimer's Society

Heywood Memory Wellbeing Cafe

Alzheimer's Society Memory Wellbeing Cafe in Heywood meets from 1:30 - 3:30pm on the third Friday of the month, at Roeacre Court on York Street in Heywood, OL10 4NF.

Roeacre Court, a Guinness Northern Counties supported housing complex right in centre of Heywood, opens its doors and allows the Alzheimer's Society Memory Wellbeing Cafe to take over their residents lounge once a month. The bright and spacious lounge provides a comfortable and wheelchair accessible venue for the cafe, right at the heart of the Heywood community.

People who come along to the cafe are able to meet up with others who have similar issues and concerns and so are often able to learn from each others experience. Guest speakers from various organisations are invited to the cafes to provide information on the help and support they can provide.

While no doubt some people attend the cafes for the information and support that's available, others just want to relax and enjoy the company of others in a place they can be themselves.
