Intro
1. Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants for grants from the Trust should either:
a) Reside in Middleton; or;
b) Attend a school in the area; or;
c) Have attended a school in the area prior to the making of an applicant for assistance.
Note: There is no age limit for applicants.
2. What Grants are available for
Grants from the Trust may be given for any purpose which promotes the education and development of the applicant (including social and physical training). In particular, monies be given for the following purposes:
a) Scholarships, bursaries, grants or maintenance allowances tenable at any school, University, College of Education or other institution of further or higher (including professional and technical) education approved by the Trustees;
b) To provide financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books to enable applicants on leaving school, University or other educational establishment to prepare for, or to assist their entry into, a profession, trade or calling;
c) Scholarships or maintenance allowances to enable applicants to travel, whether in the United Kingdom or abroad, to pursue their education.
