PASS WIDE & SLOW Awareness Ride
Sunday 14th April 2019
This is a group ride as part of national campaign to raise awareness amongst drivers to pass horse riders wide and slow so that we can all ride more safely on the roads. There are rides being organised all around the UK on the same day.
The campaign began as www.change.org petition started by Debbie Smith which calls for the UK government to make it law for drivers to pass horses wide and slow and also abide by rider's hand signals. Check out and sign the petition by clicking the link below:-
- Ride will meet at Milnrow Memorial Park on Sunday 14th April 2019
at 10:30am, departing at 10:45am
- Riders must wear Hi VIs, have public liability insurance and have signed a disclaimer.
- Ride will be approx. 5 miles and will involve some roadwork.
We are having printed Hi Vis vests specially printed by local Milnrow business BAM Designs and these will be available to purchase at cost (a fab price of £5).
