Intro
1. Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must live in Rochdale, Castleton, Norden or Bamford and be retired.
2. What Grants are available for
Grants from the Fund may be given for the welfare of the aged.
3. Restrictions
a) Organisations for the elderly will normally be granted a maximum of £250.
b) No payments can be made to help pay tax, Council Tax or other statutory payments, except where relief or assistance is already provided out of public funds.
c) For applications for grants greater than £250, the support of an Officer of the Rochdale Council’s Social Services Department is required.
d) In normal circumstances, applicants can only apply for a grant once.
