Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG)

Rochdale Environmental Action Group is a community and voluntary established with the aims of improving the environment in the Borough of Rochdale.

We have been cleaning the streets and roads of the Borough of Rochdale since 30 June 2012.

We assemble outside the Castlemere Community Centre, Tweedale Street, Rochdale OL11 1HH every Saturday at 10am and clean the area where there is need to clean.

We speak to the businesses, organisations, residents and customers about the importance of cleanliness and have been successful in engaging the churches, mosques, businesses, schools etc.

We would like to see Rochdale a cleaner, greender and a flowery town where people should love to visit and live. We cannot achieve it without the support from all people of the Borough.

Please support us by taking responsibility of cleaning the front and back alleys of your property.

The Environment Management of the Rochdale Council is very supportive and have been providing us with the bags, litter picks and gloves.

For further information, please contact Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE , Secretary, Rochdale Environmental Action Group.
