Skegness Holiday March 2016

Lincolnshire & Skegness by coach.

On Monday the 21st of March 29 members and friends left Rochdale Town Hall to spend five days at Skegness. They stayed at The County Hotel on the North Parade. It was within easy reach of all the amenities including the shopping area. The hotel was very comfortable and the food was good. The chef spoke with a number of the members and altered their menu to suit their needs. The hotel had a lounge, bar, restaurant, en-suite bedrooms and a lift.

The holiday included - 4 nights full breakfast, three course evening meal including tea or coffee, en-suite rooms with no single supplement, 2 night’s entertainment, coach travel and excursions with complete luggage handling.

The ITINERARY:

Monday - Leave Rochdale and arrive in Skegness in good time for dinner.

Two full day excursions and one half day.

1. Lincoln and Woodhall Spa.

2. Boston and Spalding.

3. Half day to Lincolnshire Wold and Louth.

The members had two evening’s entertainment and most of the party elected to go to see a show on the last night. Paul Carroll's Music Hall Tavern.

“Back by popular demand for it's 3rd successful tour of the UK and Ireland, join the 'girls' from MHT for a truly magnificent night of dazzling costumes, side splitting laughter and a cast of unique characters singing and dancing all night long. A night that will not only entertain and amuse you, but will leave you with unforgettable memories of the funniest night out of the year!”

The driver, Mr Ray Hesketh, kindly volunteered to deliver the party to and collect the party after the show. The members showed him their appreciation for a week of super service.

Friday - After a full breakfast the members headed home.

All members and guests thanked Emily Banister (Social Secretary) for all the hard work she had put into planning and making this a wonderful holiday.
