Philip Longbottom gave members a talk on The Netherlands postal history from the 16th century. The Dutch postal infrastructure experienced rapid change due to political and economic upheaval between the Netherlands , Holland and Belgium.

Covers displayed depicted how stamp production and usage evolved concerning printing. watermarks, currency and denomination changes.

Early post boxes had 2 slits to separate letters from printing matter.

Ken Knight the Society President announced that next month’s meeting will be the members competition night.
