Shopmobility provides manual powered wheelchairs and powered scooters and volunteer escorts to help people who have limited mobility shop with ease and enjoyment in Rochdale's Town Centre. It is for anyone, regardless of age, whether their disability is temporary or permanent. Shopmobility also provides escorts for people with sensory difficulties, to help with shopping.
How to get there
Rochdale Borough Shopmobility is located at 12 River Street. There are parking spaces for members of Shopmobility on the car park next to the unit. If you arrive by taxi ask the driver to drop you off next to Shopmobility. If you would like a member of staff to meet you at your car, bus or taxi please let us know in advance.
Using Shopmobility
When you arrive at the unit for the first time you will be asked to complete a short registration form. Please bring some form of identification showing your name and address. A member of our friendly staff will show you how to use the wheelchair or scooter. You will then have the independence to go where you wish in the Town Centre. It is best to book in advance to make sure we can provide what you need on the day.

£10.00 Annual Membership
Use of the equipment is:
£2.50 for a 3 hour session for members
£5.50 Day Membership for visitors
