Batley Tournament 14.February 2015
The Rochdale Mantas team came joint 3rd with Pembroke but relegated to 4th on goal difference.
We started well with a win against Sheffield who fielded a team of 4 + 2 Batley players, so we played with our 7 most of that game was in Sheffield's half.
Our 2nd game was against Xarifa who we beat 2-1 with a very last minute winner. We got penalised for a lot of infringements. I have made a list and perhaps we can address these next week. Xarifa ended up 2nd in the tournament.
3rd game against Pembroke was a much more even match and we were too slow getting to the puck and gave it away too easily losing 2-1. They took 3rd place.
4th game against Batley Tigers we were too slow backing each other up and didn't pay enough attention to the starter but managed a 3-1 win.
last game was against Batley Sharks and we had no answer to Matthew who took the puck the full length of the pool on 5 occasions. He was the only decent player on that team but they won 5-1 and ended winning the tournament.
