A Typical Evening
A typical evening includes:
6:30 - Meeting for a briefing (including a report from GMP giving information about incidents on the estate during the previous week), and prayer with a member of the Management team at the Kirkholt Social Club (grateful thanks to them for the use of their premises)
7:00 - Team begin walking the estate having phoned the Prayer Pastor team for support. This involves interaction with the shops on the Strand, chatting with residents on the Estate, staff and customers of local shops, pubs and take-aways on Oldham Road and Roller City (Zaf the owner, kindly provides drinks of hot chocolate which are gratefully received!).
Typically we help people who are being bullied, drunk or in a very vulnerable situation.
10:30 - Close in prayer and make our way home.
