Street Pastor Team

Introduction

In March 2013, a fifteen- strong volunteer team was commissioned to work on the Kirkholt Estate.

Since then teams of three trained Street Pastors have walked the estate every weekend. This includes interacting with the residents, helping vulnerable people, feeding the hungry and even receiving an invitation to a barbeque. Several times teams have been invited in to residents’ homes for refreshments and chats.

We have also been involved in activities on the estate, including the clean- up day organised by RBH.

We try to have a presence at the local Forum and PACT meetings.

Street Pastors is an interdenominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets and in night-time venues to care, listen and offer practical help.
