The recent OKTOBERFEST social evening in Bamford Bowling Club was a happy occasion, as was the STRAWBERRY CREAM TEA held earlier in the summer at the home of Joan Reader in Hewyood. Both events have helped in the fund-raising neccessary to ensure the future of exchange visits bewen members of the twinning groups in both towns.
Our next gathering will be the ANNUAL LUNCH, to be held on SUNDAY JANUARY 21st 2018 12.30pm for 1.00pm at a venue yet to be decided. This will be another opportunity for members to meet up and demonstrate their enthusiasm for the twinning ideal as realised in the Society's activities here in Rochdale and also in Bielefeld.
The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING has been scheduled for MONDAY FEBRUARY 5th 2018 at 7.30pm in the Rochdale Unitarian Church, Clover St, Rochdale OL12 6TP. Please make a note of this date and time now, and clear your diary of any other engagements!!!! The future of the Association depends on the whole-hearted support of all its members..
