The Rochdale amateur Light Orchestra brings together amateur musicians who enjoy rehearsing and performing music of a light-hearted nature of all kinds.
Membership is open to all orchestral players – ANY INSTRUMENT– who want to join. There is an agreed membership subscription per rehearsal session, at present £3 adults £1.50 students.
The Orchestra is an Equal Opportunities organisation, and is affiliated to Making Music, the national association for amateur music making organisations.

rehearsals on WEDNESDAYS from 7.30pm to 9.15pm in
St. Michael's Church,
Bury Road, BAMFORD, Rochdale OL10
AND BRING OTHERS WITH YOU!
The orchestra is open to instrumentalists of all minds,
not just the standard orchestral instruments,
but keyboards, guitars and even more exotic sounds!
We are rehearsing for a concert on June 19th with a programme to include such favourite light music pieces as In the Mood, Stardust, Moonlight Serenade, Elizabethan Serenade, as well as Prelude to a Te Deum by Charpentier and Sortie in E flat by Lefébure-Wely, at least TWO First Performances and saxophone solos performed by Arthur Welham...........
