About Us
If you are interested in the history of the Wardle and Smallbridge areas then come along to one of our regular friendly meetings where you'll be sure of a welcome.
We meet on Wednesdays from 10am. to 12 noon at the Community Centre on Wardle Road but please check first as we have the occasional trip out.
The Community Centre is the former Wardle Council Office building next to the War Memorial on Wardle Road. Go straight along the passage then up the stairs.
Membership of the group costs only £5 a year but you're welcome to visit us as a non-member to see whether or not you wish to join.
The group have a large and unique collection of artefacts and records which are displayed in two rooms; one of which is devoted to the story of the village of Watergrove, now hidden below the waters of the reservoir.
As well as the meetings, why not have a look at our Facebook page where you can join around a thousand others with similar interests.
