Wardleworth Community Centre Association:Making A Difference

New Projects 2017

Wardleworth Community Centre is a hub from which many services are provided. Some are delivered via close partnerships with our partner organisations and many other training & activities delivered by ourselves.

Almost all the current events, activities and training are a direct result of our survey, which was carried out last year (also detailed in our last Annual Report).

Multi-faith Luncheon Club for Over 50s

We will be holding our new Multi-faith Luncheon Club for Men on the 05th December 2016 at 1.30pm and Multi-faith Luncheon Club for Ladies on the 12th December 2016 at 1.30pm ***Next Session for Mens will be on Monday 06th Feb 2017 at 1.30pm***

The aim of this service is to provide socially-stimulating environment that allows people who are over 50, unemployed, to be given the opportunity to get out and meet friends old and new. We will offer hot lunch, newspaper reading, word search and other activities.

We believe this approach is crucial for achieving lasting change. We have identified that there aren’t many activities for people in this age range, so bringing the Luncheon Club was a great initiative. There has been a demand for this kind of project for a long time, and we have managed to secure funding from Near Neighborhood Grant, who are really impressed with this project and are willing to support us all the way.

We are now taking registration, for full T&Cs please pop down to the

Community Centre Monday to Friday between 9.30am – 9.30pm

TALK English Class Every Tuesday/Thursday from 10am - 12pm

Why not become a fluent English speaker, by studying and mastering reading, listening, and speaking.  In most of the lessons, you read the sentence, click on the sentence to listen to the sentence, and then you can practice speaking by repeating after the audio file.

This proven method strengthens your reading, speaking, and listening all at the same time and makes learning English easy. You will improve your English speaking using this method.
