A Littleborough business has been awarded verification from SafeSupplier for demonstrating their ethical, environmental and financial credentials, to help clients assess compliance within their supply chain.
Corrosion Resistant Products Ltd (CRP), which employs 74 people, is principally involved in the engineering sector, specialising in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, offering PTFE and PFA lined equipment.
The company’s application for SafeSupplier verification was driven by the desire to demonstrate the highest standards in health and safety, quality, ethical best practices, and responsible growth.
CRP’s quality and CI manager, Rick Payne said: “Many of our customers operate in safety-critical processing and construction environments, requiring a supply chain committed to safe and sustainable operations.
“This approval is a visible symbol that our procedures for Safe and Sustainable manufacture and supply have been assessed as meeting the highest standards.
“It assures our current and future customers that we share their ambitions for safety and sustainability, which we will strive to maintain and improve upon today and into the future.”
Gemma Archibald, director of Alcumus Safe Contractor said: “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing suppliers who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety, quality, ethical best practice, and responsible growth policies in place.”
“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that CRP has done.
“The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.
“SafeSupplier plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their suppliers as they progress through the verification process.”
