£48,000 was uncovered by officers
Greater Manchester Police have seized over £48,000 in cash during a search of a property in Rochdale. The operation, which took place following information provided by members of the public, highlights the impact of community support on police investigations.
A spokesperson for GMP confirmed that the successful recovery was facilitated by the force’s new public engagement platform. "This is from the help of the members of the public that have been supporting us on our new platform," they said.
Residents are encouraged to continue using the platform to share information with officers.
The police have reiterated that the system is designed for non-urgent reports, while emergencies should be reported by calling 999.
Non-emergency issues can be addressed by dialling 101.
