Wardle Village Church

Welcome to our Website

Please note that there will be no service at 11.00 am this Sunday 16th December. Instead at 3.00 pm we will be holding our annual Candle lit Carol Service led by Rev Rachel Battershell. A warm welcome is extended to all. This will also be the third Sunday in Advent. Mince pies and refreshments served after the service.

On Saturday 22nd December we will be singing carols in the Library on Birch Road. Come and join us. Mince pies and drinks  supplied.

On Sunday 23rd December, our Service, the fourth in Advent will be led by Mr Barry Jackson at the usual time of 11.00 am. Our Christmas Day Service will also be at 11.00 am and led by Rev Rachel Battershell.

Baby and Toddler Group has now closed for Christmas but will re-open in the New Year.

Brownies, which meet upstairs every Monday from 6.30 pm will also close after this Monday 17th December.

Slimming World meet throughout the Christmas period on Thursdays at 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm. Contact Rebecca for more information on 07738052984.

Do you have a child or grandchild aged 3 years or over? Wardle Village Church now has a Sunday Club  with activities for children (aged 3 years and over) to include stories, singing and craftwork. Younger children will be very welcome in Church and the Service will be each Sunday at 11am. The Sunday Club will be held at the same time, starting and finishing in Church.

Wardle is a Local Ecumenical Partnership between Wardle Methodist Church and the Parish of Wardle and Smallbridge. Wardle Village Church has been a local Ecumenical Partnership since 1993, and its fully integrated congregation shares both Methodist and Anglican worship. We play a full part in both the Rochdale and Littleborough Methodist Circuit and District and the Rochdale Deanery and Diocese of Manchester.

Our purpose is to offer meaningful worship; (both traditional and modern) to encourage members to grow in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to be the body of Christ, witnessing to his love and grace in the area we serve.
