Events in Rochdale - Charity

Charity Waxathon In aid of the ‘Adam Kutereba SDR Fund’ Adam has Tetraplegic Cerebal Palsy, caused by a brain haemorrhage he suffered when he was born 13 weeks premature. As a result, he can not walk and had limited movement in his right arm. We are trying to raise £60,000 to send Adam to America for an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). It involves cutting nerves in the lower spine that are responsible for muscle rigidity. After the surgery Adam should be able to walk independently with a walker and potentially walk using crutches, if his right arm improves.

The charity fundraiser is being held at: Dyers Arms, Whitelees Road, Littleborough on Saturday 24th March 2012. From 7:30pm onwards.

and a lot lot more good stuff to do. Admission will be 50p on the door.

Dale Supporters Trust and Factor 50 are delighted to announce a date for our annual golf day, for ‘The Ernie Cooksey Memorial Cup Trophy’, which was so well attended last year.

Your entry fee gets you a light lunch of soup, sandwiches and coffee, 18 holes of afternoon golf on a championship class course, three course evening mealion

There will be individual trophies for the winning team and also a longest drive and nearest the pin competitions.
