Summer Camp - Linnet Clough
For the last week of July, 32nd Rochdale Guides went on their annual Summer Camp. We visited Linnet Clough Camp and Activity Centre, and took part in many activities including High Ropes, Pond Dipping, Rifle Shooting and Archery. We also visited Chester Zoo for a day - which was great!
Our theme was I'm a Girl Guide - Get Me Out of Here, and we had visits from Ant and Dec who introduced our Bush Tucker Trials - including Frightful Facial, Bogus Buckets, Bush Foot Spa and Rank Banquet (with real mealworms, beetles, locusts and weaver ants!)
Guides achieved their I'm a Girl Guide - Get Me Out of Here badge, Survival Badge, Nights Away Badges and the I Will Survive Go For It. Well done Guides!

I'm a Girl Guide - Get Me Out of Here!
In summer 2012 we are hoping to go to an International Camp in Scotland, which will play host to Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from all over the world. To help us raise money for transport to and from Scotland, we have designed a resource for units to use on the theme I'm a Girl Guide - Get Me Out of Here! The resource is free and can be obtained by emailing guides32ndrochdale@hotmail.co.uk. A badge is available (see picture) for units to buy - £1 each (postage and packaging is additional).
