This temporary exhibition ‘Tea and Biscuits’ looks at the importance of tea to the early co-operative societies, and its place in the story of the CWSs party of a new temporary exhibition looking at the importance of tea to the co-operative movement, and CWS (Co-operative Wholesale Society), as well as the place tea has in everyday life and different cultures.

The exhibition runs from 29th July 2017 until 30th June 2018 and is the inspiration for a number of events as well as a programme of community outreach called ‘teatime traditions’. We will be looking at different traditions across the Rochdale borough to engage with new audiences and encourage their participation in heritage.

Christmas hours:
Closed Sunday 24 - Wednesday 27 & Sunday 31 December 2017

Open Thursday 28 - Saturday 30 December 10.30am - 4pm.

Open as normal from Wednesday 3 January 2018.
