Rochdale Plastic Patrol - Sprucing up Rochdale Canal

15 July 2018

Sunday 15 July 2018
Sessions running from 9.30am - 4.15pm

Rochdale Canal
Windsor Street
Rochdale
OL11 1NA

Details:

Join us at Plastic Patrol in Rochdale and help spruce up the waterway. Whether you want to join a paddle boarding and litter pick session (it's completely free and no experience necessary, just sign up at www.plasticpatrol.co.uk) or do your bit from dry land - everyone is welcome and every little counts.

If you have your own paddle board, canoe, kayak, water bike, boat or any other form of water transport you are welcome to bring it along and join us too - the more the merrier!

Paddle boarding places are offered on a first come, first serve basis and include all paddling and litter picking equipment.

The sessions are as follows:

  • 9:30 am - 11:00 am
  • 11:15 am - 12:45 pm
  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
  • 2:45 pm - 4:15 pm

**NOTE: paddle boarding sessions are for over 18s only but children are welcome to spectate and litter pick from the towpaths under supervision of an adult**

WHAT TO WEAR PADDLE BOARDING:
Loose, light clothes (gym wear is fine)
Trainers or non-slip shoes are also good, but these might get wet
Towel and spare clothes (just in case)

WHERE TO MEET:
At launch location - it will all be signed with Plastic Patrol so you should be able to find us.

WHAT TO BRING:
Water (its thirsty work!) and ideally in a reusable bottle.

Note all events are entirely voluntary - just a group of like minded individuals coming together for a good cause. It's entirely 'Not for Profit' so donations are welcome and pumped back into creating more of these clean ups for free.

Entry fee: Free
