Details:

In memory of Ben Fitchett, we would like to invite you to join our PAPYRUS HOPEWalk 2018 on Sunday 7th October. Similar to the one we did back in 2013, this is the 5 year anniversary of Bens death and we would like to repeat the success of our first HOPEWalk.

Teams of 4 (minimum) and up to a maximum of 6. You are welcome to bring your dogs along on the walk.

There are options of a 5 mile and a 10 mile walk to raise awareness and raise money for PAPYRUS - Prevention of Young Suicide Charity.

Starting Points are from the North Star (Rushcroft Road, Shaw, Oldham, OL2 7QW) for the 10 mile walk and The Wine Press (93 Hollingworth Road, Littleborough, OL15 0AZ) for the 5 mile walk. Start times and start points will be allocated on application of your team.

Entry is £5 per person and is to be paid on the Justgiving Page for the whole team being entered in the teams entry name - please see the link below.

Application forms are available on request by emailing HOPEWALK2018@aol.com and you must be registered prior to the walk date (deadline to follow) to participate.

If anyone would like to get involved but do not feel able to walk, we are looking for donations of raffle prizes, donations to our Home Bake Stall, helping with checkpoints on the walk, or helping at the event in the pub. If you are able to help or make a donation then please email HOPEWALK2018@aol.com or contact Sarah Fitchett on 07900 170 833.

Over 200 school children die by suicide every year in the UK. Among 15-19 year olds, the rate of suicide is increasing. HOPEWALKS are held throughout the UK in the month of October as the 10th October is World Mental Health Day.

Entry fee: £5 per person
