St George's Day Flag Raising & World Book Night

Rochdale Town Hall is to once again proudly host its annual St George's Day Flag Raising at 10.00am on Tuesday 23 April 2019.

This is a free community event open to all where there will be traditional English refreshments and entertainment.

Everyone is welcome at the town hall for the flag raising which will be followed by some readings and a performance by the carers’ choir. Inside the town hall, there will be refreshments and a free book stall to mark World Book Night, which takes place on St George’s Day every year.

World Book Night aims to promote the positive well-being benefits of Reading for Pleasure.

Visitors are encouraged to bring along a book they have enjoyed to leave for someone else to read and choose another to take away for themselves.
