Vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and performance poet, Mellow Baku, draws on sounds of soul, jazz, reggae, folk and blues, combined with live vocal looping improvisations and electronics to produce captivating soundscapes and songs.
A charismatic live performer, Mellow Baku works throughout the UK and internationally, solo and in collaboration with artists and ensembles. She’s completed two albums, numerous recordings and delivers a range of workshops in public groups, schools and for the NHS.
Currently Associate Vital Spark Artist with The Spark Arts for Children, Mellow sees performances as magical opportunities for people of all ages to connect, share stories and explore.
Playing with intuitive and inspired jazz and world musicians and improvisers, Deb Mawby (saxes, flute), Rachael Johnson (keys), Fran Bass (Bass) and Sophie Fishwick (drums).
