Raising money for Once Upon A Smile - the only bereavement charity in the UK to offer a variety of support to families through such a difficult time - and a charity closer to home, SG6 (Steve Gartland Foundation).

The Once Upon a Smile Manchester based charity supports people in their hour of need at times of bereavement. Since 2011, they have provided much needed emotional and financial aid throughout our region. They have various fundraising efforts and one is celebrity football matches against local sides - their team is packed with stars from the soaps, stage and screen, as well as ex-football stars.

For this game, however, they are lifting their cricket bats to take on a Rochdale Cricket Club packed with local sportsmen.

The bar will be open and food will be served all day at what promises to be a sporting and entertainment spectacular.

Entry fee: Free
