The Black Dyke Band returns to Rochdale for the first time in many years.

Black Dyke Band invites you to a scintillating evening of thrilling film scores, toe tapping big band jazz, barnstorming classics and highlights of the traditional brass band repertoire. This is an event not to be missed, featuring world class solos from some of the world’s most celebrated brass instrumentalists.  

Black Dyke the most recorded band in the world with over 350 recordings and growing every year. It is also the most successful contesting band in the world having won the European Championships thirteen times, most recently in 2015, the British Open no fewer than 30 times (most recently 2014) and the National Championships of Great Britain 23 times (most recently 2014).

In 2009, and again in 2011, 2012 and 2013, the band also recently secured an unprecedented hat trick of wins at the Yorkshire regional championships in 2016, 17 and 18.

In demand all over the world, Black Dyke regularly tours Europe, Australia, the USA and Japan and has performed with the likes of Elton John, Peter Gabriel, The Beatles and Tori Amos, as well as being the first brass band to perform on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury in 2017.
