Details:

To continue building on their work with BAME-focused services across Heywood, Rochdale and Middleton, Thinking Ahead will host the borough’s first ‘BAME Health Bazaar’ event.

The event is free to attend and will take place on Tuesday 25 February, 9.30am-3pm, at Castlemere Community Centre, 60 Tweedale Street, Rochdale, OL11 1HH.

The free event will be an opportunity for local services to come together, under one roof, and promote awareness of various health and wellbeing issues affecting the local BAME population, while providing people with the information to access the support they may need.

Service Manager, Lesley Stutter, commented: “We’re proud to have worked alongside local BAME organisations to have provided services specifically with the local BAME population in mind – such as our Stress management groups delivered by BAME practitioners in Urdu. We’re hoping this event can continue that good work and engage more people in improving their health and wellbeing.”

Attendees will be able to meet a range of professionals, such as counsellors, life coaches and fitness instructors – to talk find the right support for them and how to access it.

There will be stalls available from various local organisations including: Mind, Link4Life, Living Well, Early Attachment. Local Mendhi artists will also provide creative activities.

Entry fee: Free
