Details:

To celebrate Community Rail Week, the team at the New Pioneers Project is hosting a free event for the community.

In partnership with the Calder Valley Line Community Rail Partnership and Camerados, the team will offer residents the opportunity to join our pop-up Public Living Room to meet new people, listen to live traditional Rochdale music, and taste our home-cooked cupcakes.

Daisy Silva, Lead Career Broker at the New Pioneers Project said “We welcome everyone to this event. It's about chatting to someone new, sitting with your neighbour and having a cuppa with people who listen, who treat everyone the same, who don't judge or try to fix each other.

Karen Hornby, Community Rail Officer of the Calder Valley Line Community Rail Partnership said, “Community Rail Week gives us the opportunity to bring together local communities and promote rail travel on the Calder Valley Line.”

The event will be held in the newly adopted and renovated community garden at Rochdale Station, near to the ticket machines in the underpass.

There’s no need to book, just turn up.

Entry fee: free
