Launch of new JW Lees beer

Middleton brewer JW Lees has teamed up with renowned scientist Professor Brian Cox to launch the new amber ale, ‘Cosmic Brew.’
Heywood and Middleton MP Liz McInnes attended the launch on Thursday (4 October).
Ms McInnes said: “I was delighted to join Professor Brian Cox and Middleton brewer JW Lees at the launch of their new ‘Cosmic Brew’ beer today. JW Lees are a significant local employer and I wish them and Brian the very best of luck with their new beer.”
JW Lees was established in 1828 when retired cotton manufacturer John Lees, decided to buy land at Middleton Junction and set up Greengate Brewery.
Since then, all their beers have been brewed locally.
